Financial Assistance

HealthCare.gov is designed to help individuals and families obtain affordable health insurance. Your household may be eligible for financial assistance depending on household size and income.

In order to qualify, an individual must sign up during the Open Enrollment period; however, you could still be eligible in the event of a qualifying life event such as changing jobs, getting married or divorced, or moving. Our Certified Application Counselor can help determine if you are eligible and find the best plan.

Consumers who postpone enrolling in Medicare Part A and/or Part B will have a general election period from January 1 – March 31, but coverage will not begin until July 1 and they may have to pay higher premium rates due to late enrollment.

Medicare Coverage Options

  • Part A (Hospitalization coverage) – applies to most individuals
  • Part B (Medical coverage) – applies to most individuals
  • Part D (Prescription Drug coverage) – supplemental plan to cover gaps in coverage
  • Medicare recipients can also opt for a Medicare Advantage Plan

Medicare annual open enrollment runs October 15 – December 7, with changes taking effect January 1 of the following year. You may also be eligible outside of open enrollment if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period.
